Flamingo Travel was founded in 1998 by Hung Nguyen, a young man who had a passion for motorcycles and long journeys. Hung's first shop was small, and focused on renting Russian Minsk motorcycles and on repair services. Due to his skill as a mechanic, Hung came to be known as "Doctor Minsk" by his customers.
While the small shop was very successful, the business would soon grow. Hung had traveled to every corner of his country, and fell in love with the beautiful places he visited. A question came to his mind: "Why don't I introduce these beautiful sites to other people?" Thereafter, Hung and his staff worked hard to organize motorcycle trips to the beautiful North-West and North-East mountain areas of Vietnam. They also started providing motorcycle trips along the Ho Chi Minh Trail, as well as to Laos and Cambodia.
In 2002, Hung changed his company name to Flamingo Travel, and opened a new head office at 66 Dao Duy Tu Street, in Hanoi's Hoan Kiem District. He also opened a Ho Chi Minh City branch, for the convenience of his customers such as one way rental bike . Today, Flamingo Travel now offers a full line of tourism services, including: hotel bookings, air tickets, tours, car rental services, boat rental services, helicopter rides, and of course, motorbikes for rent at best prices in the town.
For the motorcycle adventure, Flamingo Travel is known as the finest and most experienced provider of tailor made motorcycle tours.
